1. Who We Are
DemoVaults ("we," "us," or "our") is an AI-powered music demo management platform operated at demovaults.com. We help music producers, artists, and labels organize, analyze, and share their music demos professionally.
2. Information We Collect
Account Information
When you register, we collect your email address, username, display name, and role (e.g. Producer, Artist). If you sign in with Apple or Google, we may also receive your name and profile information from the authentication provider.
Audio Files & Content
We store the audio files, titles, descriptions, cover art, and lyrics you upload to your Vault. These files are stored securely and only accessible to you and anyone you explicitly share them with.
AI-Generated Data
When you use our AI features, we process your audio to generate tags, mood descriptors, summaries, lyrics transcriptions, BPM detection, musical key analysis, and cover art. This data is stored in your account and used to power search, organization, and pitch features.
Audio Fingerprinting
We compute a cryptographic hash (audio_hash) of your uploaded audio files to detect duplicate uploads and prevent redundant AI charges. This hash cannot be used to reconstruct your audio.
Points & Usage Data
We track AI action usage, point balances, deductions, and refunds to enforce plan limits, ensure billing accuracy, and provide usage transparency. We do not sell this data.
Pitch Analytics
When you share a Pitch link, we collect view counts, download counts, and access timestamps. For Protected Pitches, we also collect the recipient's email address for verification purposes.
Payment Information
On the web, payments are processed by Stripe. We do not store your credit card details — Stripe handles all payment data under their own privacy policy. On iOS, in-app purchases and subscriptions are processed by Apple through the App Store. Purchase entitlements are managed by RevenueCat, a third-party service that communicates with Apple's StoreKit to verify and track your subscription status.
3. How We Use Your Information
- To provide, operate, and improve the DemoVaults service
- To process AI analyses and generate smart tags for your demos
- To send account-related emails (verification, password reset, billing)
- To enforce subscription plan limits (storage, AI usage)
- To respond to your support requests
- To detect and prevent fraud or abuse
We do not sell your personal data or audio files to third parties. We do not use your music for AI training without explicit consent.
4. Sharing Your Data
We only share your data in the following limited circumstances:
- Supabase — our database and authentication provider
- Stripe — payment processing (web)
- RevenueCat — in-app purchase entitlement management (iOS)
- Apple (App Store / StoreKit) — in-app purchase processing (iOS)
- Google (Gemini) — AI tagging, mood analysis, and description generation
- OpenAI (Whisper) — lyrics transcription from audio
- Replicate — BPM and musical key detection from audio
- Apple Sign In — optional sign-in authentication
- Google OAuth — optional sign-in authentication
- Resend — transactional email delivery
- Vercel — app hosting infrastructure
- When required by law or to protect our legal rights
When you share a Pitch link, the recipient can access only the demos included in that pitch. They cannot access your full Vault. For Protected Pitches, recipient email verification is required before access is granted; verification codes are sent via email and logged for security purposes.
5. Data Retention
We retain your data for as long as your account is active. You can delete your account at any time from the Settings page. When you delete your account, all your data — including audio files, profile information, AI-generated data, messages, and subscription records — is deleted immediately. We may retain anonymized billing records as required by law.
6. Your Rights
You have the right to:
- Access and download your data at any time from your account settings
- Correct inaccurate information in your profile
- Delete your account and all associated data
- Opt out of non-essential communications

7. Security
We use industry-standard security measures including encrypted data storage, HTTPS for all data transmission, and access controls. However, no system is 100% secure. We encourage you to use a strong, unique password for your account.
8. Cookies
We use essential cookies to keep you logged in and remember your preferences. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.
9. Children's Privacy
DemoVaults is not intended for users under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes via email or an in-app notice. Continued use of DemoVaults after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
